And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Indeed this is really true – the people of the hell quarrelling among themselves. 64
