1/2 Hizb 46

(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Assuredly We purified them with a quality most pure, the remembrance of the Abode, 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
