Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Did we laugh at them (for nothing), or our eyes fail to pick them out?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
