Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And commemorate Our Servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of Power and Vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
