AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 (Observing their followers advancing to Hell they will say, among themselves: “This is a troop rushing in to you. There is no welcome for them. They are destined to roast in the Fire.” 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
