Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
