Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, "It is great news 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
