SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 "From which you turn away! 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
