(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
