(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 from which you are turning away. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
