Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
