Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
