Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
