Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
