Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is nothing but a reminder unto all beings, 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
