SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
