Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am bidden to serve Allah, consecrating my devotion to Him, 11 I am ordered to be the first of those to be submissive (Muslims to Him)' 12 Say: "I would, if I disobeyed my Lord, indeed have fear of the Penalty of a Mighty Day." 13 Say: "I worship God with devotion all-exclusive for Him. 14 Then worship what ye will beside Him. Say: The losers will be those who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Ah, that will be the manifest loss! 15 They will have sheets of fire above them and sheets of fire beneath them." That is how God puts fear into the hearts of His servants. Fear me, then, My servants. 16 And those who avoid the devils lest they should worship them and turn unto Allah in penitence, for them are glad tidings. Wherefore give thou glad tidings unto My bondmen, 17 Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding. 18 But what of him against whom the sentence of punishment is justified? Can you rescue one who is already in the Fire? 19 But those who fear their Lord, for them are lofty chambers with lofty chambers above them, built whereunder rivers flow: the promise of Allah, and Allah faileth not the appointment. 20 Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, then makes it flow in rills on the earth, and brings forth corn from it which, having passed through changes of shade and colour, comes to ripen, and you see it autumnal yellow; then He reduces it to chaff. There are indeed lessons in this for those who are wise. 21
