So will he whose bosom Allah has opened up for Islam – he is therefore upon a light from his Lord – ever be equal to one who is stone hearted? Therefore ruin is for those whose hearts are hardened towards the remembrance of Allah; they are in open error. 22 Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. 23 Is he then, who will confront with his face the awful torment on the Day of Resurrection (as he who enters peacefully in Paradise)? And it will be said to the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.): "Taste what you used to earn!" 24 Those who went before them also belied, then Our punishment overtook them from where they were unaware; 25 God made them suffer humiliation in this life. Would that they knew that the torment for them in the next life will be even greater. 26 And indeed We have put forth for men, in this Quran every kind of similitude in order that they may remember. 27 as a discourse in the Arabic tongue, free of all deviousness, so that they might become conscious of God. 28 Allah coineth a similitude: A man in relation to whom are several part-owners, quarrelling, and a man belonging wholly to one man. Are the two equal in similitude? Praise be to Allah! But most of them know not. 29 You will die and they too will die, 30 Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord. 31
