۞ Say: 'O my people who have been prodigal against yourselves, do not despair of God's mercy; surely God forgives sins altogether; surely He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate. 53 Turn to your Lord and surrender yourselves to Him before the chastisement over-takes you; for then you will receive no help. 54 Follow the best aspect of what is sent down to you from your Lord, before the scourge comes upon you unawares, 55 Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! for what I fell short of my duty to Allah, and most surely I was of those who laughed to scorn; 56 Or, lest it should say: had Allah but guided me, I should surely have been of the God-fearing! 57 Or [lest] it say when it sees the punishment, "If only I had another turn so I could be among the doers of good." 58 God will reply to the soul, "My revelations had certainly come to you but you rejected them. You were puffed-up with pride and you became an unbeliever". 59 And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud? 60 And Allah will deliver those who feared Him to their place of safety. Evil will not touch them, nor will they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs. 62 To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. Those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah they are the losers. 63
