۞ SAY: "[Thus speaks God:] 'O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God's mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!'" 53 "Turn ye to our Lord (in repentance) and bow to His (Will), before the Penalty comes on you: after that ye shall not be helped. 54 “And follow this, the best among all, which has been sent down towards you from your Lord, before the punishment comes suddenly upon you whilst you are unaware.” 55 lest any human being should say [on Judgment Day,] "Alas for me for having been remiss in what is due to God, and for having been indeed one of those who scoffed [at the truth]!" 56 Or [lest] it say, "If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous." 57 "Or (lest) it should say when it (actually) sees the penalty: 'If only I had another chance, I should certainly be among those who do good!' 58 'Indeed, My verses did come to you, but you belied them. You were proud and became one of the unbelievers' 59 And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied against Allah (i.e. attributed to Him sons, partners, etc.) their faces will be black. Is there not in Hell an abode for the arrogant ones? 60 But God will safeguard all who were conscious of Him, [and will grant them happiness] by virtue of their [inner] triumphs; no evil shall ever touch them, and neither shall they grieve. 61 Allah is Creator of all things; and He only is the Controller of all things. 62 To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: and those who reject the Signs of Allah,- it is they who will be in loss. 63
