▼ 39 The Throngs
Al-Zumer 8 of 8

Those who rejected the truth will be led to Hell in throngs. When they reach it, its gates will be opened and its keepers will say to them, "Have messengers not come to you from among yourselves, who conveyed to you the revelations of your Lord and warned you about meeting [Him] on this Day?" They will answer, "Yes, they did come." But the decree of punishment has proved true against the deniers of the truth. 71 [and] they will be told, "Enter the gates of hell, therein to abide!" And how vile an abode for those who were given to false pride! 72 Those who were mindful of their duty to their Lord will be driven in groups to Paradise, till they reach it and its gates are opened, and its keepers say to them: "Peace be on you; you are the joyous. So enter here to live for ever." 73 And they will say: all praise unto Allah, who hath fulfilled His promise unto us and made us inherit this land, so that we may dwell in the Garden wherever we will! Excellent then is the hire of the workers! 74 And thou (O Muhammad) seest the angels thronging round the Throne, hymning the praises of their Lord. And they are judged aright. And it is said: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! 75
