Verily those who disbelieve - they will be cried unto: surely Allah's abhorrence was greater than is your abhorrence toward yourselves when ye were called unto the belief, and ye disbelieved. 10 They will say, “O Our Lord! Twice You have given us death and twice You have given us life* – we now confess to our sins – so is there a way out of the fire?” (From nothingness to life in this world, to death and then Resurrection.) 11 [And they will be told:] "This [has befallen you] because, whenever the One God was invoked, you denied this truth; whereas, when divinity was ascribed to aught beside Him, you believed [in it]! But all judgment rests with God, the Exalted, the Great!" 12 It is He who shows you His signs, and sends down provision for you from heaven; but none pays heed except the repentant. 13 Supplicate then to Allah making your religion sincerely His, even though the unbelievers oppose it. 14 Exalted and throned on high, He lets the Spirit descend at His behest upon whichever of His servants He will, so that he may warn of the Day of Meeting, 15 the Day when they shall rise up with nothing hidden from Allah. And who is the Owner of the Kingdom on that Day? Allah, the One, the Conqueror! 16 Every soul will be recompensed for its deeds on this Day. There will be no injustice. Certainly God's reckoning is swift. 17 And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed. 18 He knows even the most stealthy glance of the eyes and all the secrets that hearts conceal. 19 And Allah will judge with (justice and) Truth: but those whom (men) invoke besides Him, will not (be in a position) to judge at all. Verily it is Allah (alone) Who hears and sees (all things). 20
