Those who disbelieve will be addressed (at the time of entering into the Fire): "Allah's aversion was greater towards you (in the worldly life when you used to reject the Faith) than your aversion towards one another (now in the Fire of Hell, as you are now enemies to one another), when you were called to the Faith but you used to refuse." 10 They will say: “Our Lord, twice have You caused us to die and twice have You given us life. We have now confessed our sins. Is there, then, any way out?” 11 [They will be told], "This is because when God alone was invoked you denied the truth, yet when others were associated with Him you believed in them." Judgement rests with God, the Most High, the Most Great. 12 It is He, Who shows you His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and sends down (rain with which grows) provision for you from the sky. And none remembers but those who turn (to Allah) in obedience and in repentance (by begging His Pardon and by worshipping and obeying Him Alone and none else). 13 So call on God with exclusive obedience, howsoever the unbelievers may dislike it. 14 He is Lofty in degrees, Lord of the Throne. He casteth the spirit of His command upon whomsoever He will of His bondmen, that he may warn people of the Day of Meeting. 15 The Day whereon they will appear: naught of them will be concealed from Allah, Whose is the dominion today? It is of Allah, the One, the Subduer. 16 On that Day every soul shall be recompensed for its earnings and on that Day none shall be wronged. The reckoning of Allah is swift. 17 And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed. 18 He knoweth the fraudulence of the eyes, and that which the breasts conceal. 19 God shall decide justly, and those they call on, apart from Him, shall not decide by any means. surely God is the All-hearing, the All-seeing. 20
