A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies! 28 O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct." 29 And he who believed said: O my people, verily I fear for you a fate like the day of the confederates. 30 the like of the case of Noah's people, Ad, Thamood, and those after them; and God desires not wrong for His servants.' 31 "And, O my people! Verily! I fear for you the Day when there will be mutual calling (between the people of Hell and of Paradise)." 32 A Day when you will turn your backs and flee having no protector from Allah, And whomsoever Allah sends astray, for him there is no guide. 33 And assuredly there came unto you Yusuf aforetime with evidences, yet ye ceased not to be in doubt concerning that which he brought unto you, until when he died, ye said: God shall by no means raise an apostle after him. Thus Allah keepeth astray one who is extravagant and a doubter. 34 Those who dispute concerning the communications of Allah without any authority that He has given them; greatly hated is it by Allah and by-those who believe. Thus does Allah set a seal over the heart of every proud, haughty one. 35 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O Haman! Build me a tower that I may arrive at the ways, 36 to the heavens and be able to climb up to the Lord of Moses. I think that Moses is lying." Thus, Pharaoh's evil deeds seemed attractive to him and prevented him from the right path. The Pharaoh's plots only led him to his own destructor. 37
