The man who believed said: "O my people, follow me; I will guide you to the right path. 38 O my people! Lo! this life of the world is but a passing comfort, and lo! the Hereafter, that is the enduring home. 39 Whosoever worketh an evil, he shall not be requited except the like thereof; and whosoever, male or female, worketh righteously, and is a believer - they will enter the Garden wherein they will be provided for without measure. 40 ۞ "And O my people, how is it that I summon you to salvation, the while you summon me to the fire? 41 Ye call me for this, that I should blaspheme against God and associate with Him that whereof I have no knowledge, and I call you onto the Mighty, the Forgiver. 42 There is no doubt that those whom you call me to have no claim to be called upon in this world and in the Hereafter. Certainly to Allah shall be our return, and those who exceed the limits are destined to the Fire. 43 And anon ye shall remember that which I am telling you. And I confide my affair unto God; verily God is the Beholder of His bondmen. 44 Therefore Allah saved him from the evils of their scheming, and an evil punishment enveloped the people of Firaun. – 45 they will be brought before the Fire morning and evening. On the Day the Hour comes, [a voice will cry], "Mete out to Pharaoh's people the harshest punishment!" 46 Just imagine when they will remonstrate with one another in Hell. The weak ones will say to those who waxed proud: “We were your followers. Will you, then, lighten for us a part of our suffering of the Fire?” 47 The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures." 48 Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us." 49 The keepers will ask them, "Did your Messengers not come to you with illustrious evidence (of the Truth)? They will reply, "Yes, they did." The keepers will then say, "You may pray but the prayer of the disbelievers will not be answered". 50
