Did you not see those who dispute concerning Allah's Signs? Whence are they, then, being turned astray? 69 they who give the lie to this divine writ and [thus] to all [the messages] with which We sent forth Our apostles [of old]? But in time they will come to know [how blind they have been: they will know it on Judgment Day,] 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 In the boiling fetid fluid: then in the Fire shall they be burned; 72 Then it is said unto them: Where are (all) that ye used to make partners (in the Sovereignty) 73 Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter ye the gates of hell, to dwell therein. Evil is the habitation of the scornful. 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 Indeed We sent many Noble Messengers before you, so We have related to you the affairs of some among them, and not related the affairs of some; and no Noble Messenger has the right to bring any sign except with the command of Allah; so the time when the command of Allah comes, the true judgement will be delivered and there will the people of falsehood be ruined. 78
