Do you not see how those who dispute God's signs, are turned away from the right path -- 69 Those who belie the Book and that with which We sent Our Messengers shall soon know. 70 when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks, 71 In the boiling fetid fluid: then in the Fire shall they be burned; 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 this is an outcome of your having arrogantly exulted on earth without any [concern for what is] right, and of your having been so full of self-conceit! 75 Enter ye the gates of hell, to dwell therein. Evil is the habitation of the scornful. 76 So you persevere with patience (in your mission). The promise of God is true. Whether We show you some of the punishment We have promised them, or gather you up in death, they have to come back to Us. 77 And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all]. 78
