Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 Those who cry lies to the Book and that wherewith We sent Our Messengers -- soon they will know! 70 when fetters and chains shall be on their necks, and they shall be dragged into 71 Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned; 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. 75 “Enter the gates of hell, to remain in it forever”; so what a wretched destination for the haughty! 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 Before your time We sent other messengers: of them there are some whose story We have related to you, and some whose story We have not related to you. It was not [possible] for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of God: but when the command of God was issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice. There and then, those who stood on falsehoods perished. 78
