Observest thou not those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah? whither are they turning away! 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged 71 into the boiling water and then are thrown into the Fire, 72 Then they will be asked, "Where are the idols which you worshipped besides God?" 73 Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers. 74 this is an outcome of your having arrogantly exulted on earth without any [concern for what is] right, and of your having been so full of self-conceit! 75 Enter [now] the gates of hell, therein to abide: and how vile an abode for all who are given to false pride!" 76 Wherefore persevere thou; verily the promise of Allah is true; then whether We let thee see a part of that wherewith We have promised them, or whether We cause thee to die, unto Us they all will be caused to return. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
