Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 (Muhammad), say, "I am a mere mortal like you. I have received a revelation that your Lord is the only One. So be up-right and obedient to Him and seek forgiveness from Him. Woe to the pagans, 6 Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
