54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

HA MIM. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 a divine writ, the messages whereof have been clearly spelled out as a discourse in the Arabic tongue for people of [innate] knowledge, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 who do not pay the zakat, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
