54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: our hearts are under veils from that whereunto thou callest us, and in our ears there is heaviness, and betwixt us and thee there is a curtain; work thou then, verily we are workers. 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
