Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
