Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 It contains glad news and warnings (for the people), but most of them have ignored it and do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists; 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
