54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha, Meem. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah - 6 Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
