Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HaMeem. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
