Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim: 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 A Book, the verses of which are distinguished, an Arabic Koran for a nation who know. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: Our hearts are protected from that unto which thou (O Muhammad) callest us, and in our ears there is a deafness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act, then. Lo! we also shall be acting. 5 Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah - 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Truly, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism, and in His Messenger Muhammad SAW) and do righteous good deeds, for them will be an endless reward that will never stop (i.e. Paradise). 8
