Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say: Our hearts are protected from that unto which thou (O Muhammad) callest us, and in our ears there is a deafness, and between us and thee there is a veil. Act, then. Lo! we also shall be acting. 5 Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah - 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
