54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ha-Mim. 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful Allah: 2 A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge, 3 Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen, 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists; 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Surely those who believe, and do righteous deeds shall have a wage unfailing.' 8
