And (make mention of) the day when the enemies of Allah are gathered unto the Fire, they are driven on 19 Till, when they reach it, their ears and their eyes and their skins testify against them as to what they used to do. 20 They will say to their skins: "Why bear ye witness against us?" They will say: "Allah hath given us speech,- (He) Who giveth speech to everything: He created you for the first time, and unto Him were ye to return. 21 You did not hide your (doings) so that your ears or eyes or persons should not testify against you. In fact you thought that God did not know the things you used to do. 22 "But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!" 23 Then if they are patient, the Fire is their home, and if they seek to please Allah, they will not be of those who are allowed to please Allah. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish. 25
