They will be spurred on 19 and when all have arrived, their ears, their eyes, and their skins shall bear witness against them, stating all that they had done in the life of the world. 20 and they will say to their skins, 'Why bore you witness against us?' They shall say, 'God gave us speech, as He gave everything speech. He created you the first time, and unto Him you shall be returned. 21 you could not hide yourselves from your ears and your eyes and your skins to prevent them from testifying against you, and you thought that God would never know much of what you did, 22 but these thoughts which you entertained concerning your Lord, have brought you to destruction, and [now] you are among the utterly lost!" 23 If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish. 25
