Whose word is better than his who calls to God and does the right, and says: "I am of the obedient?" 33 The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. Allah ordered the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly), then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend. 34 Yet none shall receive it, except the steadfast; none shall receive it, except a man of mighty fortune. 35 If a prompting from Satan should stir you, seek refuge with God: He is the All Hearing and the All Knowing. 36 Among His signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. But do not prostrate yourselves before the sun or the moon; rather prostrate before Allah, who created them both, if it is He whom you worship. 37 And if they wax proud, yet those who are with thy Lord do glorify Him by night and day, and grow not weary. ۩ 38 And among His signs is that you see the earth humble; then when He sends down rain upon it, it quivers and swells. He who revives is He who revives the dead, surely, He is powerful over everything. 39 VERILY, they who distort the meaning of Our messages are not hidden from Us: hence, which [of the two] will be in a better state - he that is [destined to be] cast into the fire, or he that shall come secure [before Us] on Resurrection Day? Do what you will: verily, He sees all that you do. 40 Those who disbelieve in the Remembrance when it comes to them -- and surely it is a Book Sublime; 41 falsehood does not come to it from before it or from behind it. It is a sending down from the One, the Wise, the Praised. 42 Naught is said to thee but what already was said to the Messengers before thee. Surely thy Lord is a Lord of forgiveness and of painful retribution. 43 Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!" 44
