Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 'Ain. Sin. Qaf. 2 Thus Allah the Mighty, the Knower inspireth thee (Muhammad) as (He inspired) those before thee. 3 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great. 4 The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by Him Glory): and the angels celebrate the Praises of their Lord, and pray for forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: Behold! Verily Allah is He, the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 5 And as for those who choose protecting friends beside Him, Allah is Warden over them, and thou art in no wise a guardian over them. 6 Thus We revealed to you, this Arabic Quran so that you may warn the mother of cities [Makkah] and those around it, and warn them of the Day of Gathering which is sure to come: when some group will be in the Garden, and some will be in the Fire. 7 Had God wanted, He could have made them all one single nation, but He grants mercy to whomever He wills. The unjust will have no guardian or helper. 8 What! Have they taken (for worship) protectors besides Him? But it is Allah,- He is the Protector, and it is He Who gives life to the dead: It is He Who has power over all things, 9
