Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much. 30 You cannot frustrate Him in the earth; you have no protector nor helper against Allah. 31 Among His signs are the ships sailing like mountains on the sea: 32 and if He wills, He stills the wind, and they remain motionless on its back. Surely in that are signs for every man enduring, thankful. 33 Or, He wrecks them for what they have earned, but He pardons a lot. 34 And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape. 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, they take revenge. 39 The recompense of a sin is a sin like it, but whosoever forgives and seeks to reform, his wage will be with Allah. Surely, He does not love the harmdoers. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 blame falls only on those who wrong men and transgress on this earth without justification, such will have a painful punishment, 42 And indeed whoever patiently endured and forgave – then indeed these are acts of great courage. 43
