Whatever of misfortune striketh you, it is what your right hands have earned. And He forgiveth much. 30 Nor can ye frustrate (aught), (fleeing) through the earth; nor have ye, besides Allah, any one to protect or to help. 31 And among His signs are the ships that run on the sea like mountains and 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord: 36 And those who shun the worst of sins and indecencies and, when they are wroth, forgive, 37 who have pledged their obedience to the Lord, who are steadfast in prayer, who conduct their affairs with consultation among themselves, who spend for the cause of God out of what We have given them, 38 And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, they take revenge. 39 The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. 40 And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. 41 blame falls only on those who wrong men and transgress on this earth without justification, such will have a painful punishment, 42 And verily whoso is patient and forgiveth - lo! that, verily, is (of) the steadfast heart of things. 43
