And whomsoever Allah will send astray, for him there will be no protecting friend to take His place. And thou wilt behold the wrong-doers when they behold the torment saying: is there unto return any way? 44 And thou wilt see them exposed to that [doom,] humbling themselves in abasement, looking [around] with a furtive glance - the while those who had attained to faith will say: "Verily, lost on [this] Day of Resurrection are they who have squandered their own and their followers' selves!" Oh, verily, the evildoers will fall into long-lasting suffering, 45 They shall have no protectors to help them against Allah. For he whom Allah causes to go astray will have no way to save himself. 46 Respond to your Lord before a Day arrives that will not be averted [against God's will]. You will not find any refuge from God on that Day, nor will you have [any opportunity] to deny your sins. 47 Now if they turn away, We have not sent you [O Prophet] as their keeper: your responsibility is only to convey the message. Man is such that when We let him taste Our mercy, he exults in it, but if an evil befalls him which is his own doing, he becomes utterly ungrateful. 48 To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female (offspring) upon whom He wills, and bestows male (offspring) upon whom He wills. 49 or He gives both male and female [to whomever He wills,] and causes to be barren whomever He wills: for, verily, He is all-knowing, infinite in His power. 50 ۞ It belongs not to any mortal that God should speak to him, except by revelation, or from behind a veil, or that He should send a messenger and he reveal whatsoever He will, by His leave; surely He is All-high, All-wise. 51 Even so We have revealed to thee a Spirit of Our bidding. Thou knewest not what the Book was, nor belief; but We made it a light, whereby We guide whom We will of Our servants. And thou, surely thou shalt guide unto a straight path -- 52 The path of Allah, Whose is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; now surely to Allah do all affairs eventually come. 53
