Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 By the Book that makes things clear, 2 We have made it an Arabic reading text so that perhaps you may understand. 3 And Verily, it (this Quran) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz), before Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom. 4 Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people? 5 But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old? 6 no Prophet came to them except that they mocked him, 7 Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, 8 And if you should ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing." 9 The One Who made the earth a bed for you, and made roads for you in it, so that you may be guided. 10 It is He who sends water down from the sky in due measure, We revive dead land with it and likewise you will be resurrected from the grave, 11 And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. 12 That ye may mount upon their backs, and may remember your Lord's favour when ye mount thereon, and may say: Glorified be He Who hath subdued these unto us, and we were not capable (of subduing them); 13 Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn." 14 Yet they attribute to some of His servants a share with Him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed! 15
