Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim 1 By the Book that makes things clear, 2 Surely We have made it an Arabic Quran that you may understand. 3 It is in the Origin of the Book with Us, sublime and wise. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 How many Messengers did We send to the ancient people? 6 But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him. 7 so We destroyed those who were mightier than these; such was the example of the earlier peoples. 8 If thou askest them, 'Who created the heavens and earth?' they will say, 'The All-mighty, the All-knowing created them.' 9 Who hath made for you the earth a bed, and hath made for you paths therein that haply ye may be directed. 10 He Who sent down water from the sky in a determined measure, and thereby We revived a dead land: likewise will you be raised up (from the earth) -- 11 And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, 12 So that when you sit astride of them and think of the bounties of your Lord, you may say: "All glory to Him who subjugated these for us. We were incapable of doing so. 13 Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn." 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
