Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 I swear by the Book that makes things clear: 2 We have made it an Arabic Quran so that you may understand. 3 And verily it is, in the Original Book before Us, indeed exalted. 4 Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun 5 How many Messengers did We send to the ancient people? 6 but not a Prophet came to them, without they mocked at him; 7 And We destroyed greater than them in [striking] power, and the example of the former peoples has preceded. 8 If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge';- 9 He who made the earth a bed for you, and laid out tracks upon it so that you may find the way; 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 and who created the pairs, all of them, and appointed for you ships and cattle such as you ride, 12 In order that ye may sit firm and square on their backs, and when so seated, ye may celebrate the (kind) favour of your Lord, and say, "Glory to Him Who has subjected these to our (use), for we could never have accomplished this (by ourselves), 13 Surely we have to go back to our Lord." 14 And they assign to Him a part of His servants; man, to be sure, is clearly ungrateful. 15
