Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 By oath of the clear Qur’an. 2 We have indeed sent it as a Qur’an in the Arabic language, so that you may understand. 3 And surely it is in the original of the Book with Us, truly elevated, full of wisdom. 4 Shall We turn away the Remembrance from you, for that you are a prodigal people? 5 How many a Prophet did We send to the ancients, 6 Yet never did a Prophet come to them but they mocked him. 7 So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old. 8 (Muhammad), if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will certainly say, "The Majestic and All-knowing God has created them". 9 He Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and made in it ways for you that you may go aright; 10 and who sent down out of heaven water in measure; and We revived thereby a land that was dead; even so you shall be brought forth; 11 And the One Who created all pairs, and made the ships and cattle as rides for you. 12 That you may firmly sit on their backs, then remember the favor of your Lord when you are firmly seated thereon, and say: Glory be to Him Who made this subservient to us and we were not able to do it 13 indeed, to our Lord we are turning' 14 And they assign to Him a part of His servants; man, to be sure, is clearly ungrateful. 15
